To help planners and designers better articulate their project requirements we hosted a web seminar on March 31st, focused on how to improve the communication of your road design to your road contractor and other stakeholders.

Part 4 of our multi-part webinar series focusing on reducing the environmental impacts of roads.

Episode 3 focused on the geometric design of the road, specifically key factors in the cross-section geometry, materials, and movement of materials that you should consider to help reduce the environmental impact of roads you design. This included a discussion of cut & fill slopes, surfacing, spoil & borrow sites, and more!

This second episode discussed the important role that planning and locating the road plays in reducing the impact on the environment.
